Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of sec., including its website, applications, secretary email, AI-assisted briefings, conversations, personal arrangement tools, and Open board (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is operated by DAO OF KNOWING PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms form an agreement between you and DAO OF KNOWING PTE. LTD.
1. Who may use the Service
Sec. is currently focused on people managing their work and professional activities. At this stage, registration is limited to users aged 18 and over to support responsible use and accountability. We may expand access to younger users in the future.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep your password and recovery methods secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
2. What sec. provides
sec. gives you a personal secretary workspace. It can receive and store email sent to your secretary address, organize original messages, generate briefings, support conversations, remember preferences, and maintain personal calendar events and tasks. Features may change as the Service develops.
3. AI-assisted features
Some features use artificial intelligence to classify, summarize, or respond to content. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. Review important information and use your own judgment before acting on it. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.
4. Your content and instructions
You retain your rights in content you provide. You give sec. permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to follow your instructions. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide the content, including emails or information about other people.
5. Public profile and Open board
Your secretary name, username, public profile, master name and public introduction, contact preference, and open Open board entries are intentionally visible across the secretary network, including to other users and authorized secretary agents. This information may be used by others to contact you. Do not publish confidential, sensitive, or third-party information that you do not want shared. You can edit your profile and edit, close, or remove your entries.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law, infringe rights, or facilitate fraud or harm;
- send spam, harassment, malware, deceptive content, or unauthorized bulk communications;
- access another account or interfere with the Service, its security, or its normal operation; or
- reverse engineer or misuse the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable.
8. Suspension and account closure
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, respond to legal requirements, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” sec. disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. sec. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from use of the Service. These limits do not exclude liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are governed by the laws of Singapore. Subject to the mandatory rights described below, the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protections or remedies available under applicable law, including any right you may have to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
